Let your Galesburg, IL inn be the place for your getaway from everyday life, where you look forward to returning to during and after your Illinois adventures! And please, allow us to introduce you to the joys of an Illinois vacation.

Galesburg was planned and founded as a city for religious education. The result was Galesburg’s Knox College, which offers a great education while instilling basic principles of honor, trust, and responsibility through their honor code. This ethical education is seldom found in today’s world, and Knox College takes pride in nurturing these values in their students.

Home of the first anti-slavery society in Illinois, Galesburg was a stop on the Underground Railroad. However, this isn’t the only railroad Galesburg is known for, as the town also became a major railway hub in the 19th century, now commemorated annually through our Railroad Days festival in June.

Enjoy Galesburg’s distinctive shopping, antiques, and museums during your visit. Enjoy the restored Seminary Street Historic Commercial District. Enjoy a theatre show at our historic Orpheum Theatre, art at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, and re-discover the poetry of Carl Sandburg at the Carl Sandburg State Historic Site. Or explore nearby towns and attractions, and return to your Galesburg inn for a relaxing evening!

There is so much to see and do in Galesburg, and our member inns of the Illinois Bed and Breakfast Association look forward to hosting your quest to see it all!
